What weight should I get when choosing a weighted blanket

When choosing a Sleep Heavy weighted blanket, it's often recommended to opt for one that is approximately 10% of your body weight.

Individuals weighing between 50kg and 80kg might prefer a 6.8kg blanket, while those exceeding 80kg might find a 9kg blanket more suitable. However, the choice ultimately depends on personal preference. Please get in touch if you are unsure on the right choice for you - we're more than happy to accommodate exchanges if you wish to switch to a heavier or lighter option.

At Sleep Heavy, we offer a variety of sizes and weights to cater to different needs.

Our kids' blankets are available in weights of 2.2kg (for children up to 22kg), 3.2kg (up to 32kg), and 4.5kg (up to 45kg).

For adults, we provide single and double bed size options in both 6.8kg and 9kg and king/queen size exclusively in 9kg. Additionally, our chunky knit blankets are one size and weigh 6.8kg.

It's important to note that the size of a weighted blanket should be chosen based on individual sleeping needs rather than bed size. For optimal benefits, the weight should be evenly distributed over your body rather than the bed. Therefore, we recommend using one blanket per person whenever possible.
